Group Study Room Reservations
Evans has several group study rooms for reservation on the 3rd and 4th floors
Evans study room reservations (979) 845-3731
Reserve group study rooms all have chalkboards
Reservations can be made in person or by phone
Reservations will be accepted based on availability
Reservations can be made for up to one week in the future
Any reservations that are not claimed within 30 minutes will be forfeited and the room declared available
The person who made the room reservation must be the one to pick up the room key
There are no reservations during finals, holidays or interim (all are first-come, first-serve)

Lockers
Evans has lockers available on the 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th floors
Lockers are available 3 month check-out
All library materials stored in lockers MUST be checked out
No food or beverages are to be kept in a locker
Available to Texas A&M junior and senior undergraduate students and graduate students on a first-come, first-serve basis
Lockers are checked on a regular basis, library materials not checked out are removed and returned to the stacks
The library is not responsible for any items left in a locker
If a locker key is lost, there is a $10.00 key replacement fee
If lockers aren’t renewed within 60 days after the due date then the student will be charged a $10.00 key replacement fee, at 90 days the key replacement fee will be charged to the student’s SIMS account

Graduate Research Rooms (formerly Carrels)
Located on Evans 3rd – 6th floors
Small one/two person rooms with a counter surface and chair
One electrical outlet
Wireless access
Research rooms are checked out for a 4-month period
Available to graduate students working on thesis or dissertation
Provide letter from graduate committee or department head verifying research status
Available to faculty for specific research projects with library access needs
Provide letter documenting specific research need
Research Rooms are checked regularly; library materials not checked out are removed and returned to the stacks
Up to two individuals may be assigned to a research room depending on demand
When research rooms are shared by two or more people, care should be taken to provide room for both research room mates to work and study. Research room mates are encouraged to coordinate the use of the research room with regards to the shelf and desktop space. Research rooms will be cleaned on an occasional basis by university staff
If a key is lost, there is a $10.00 key replacement fee
If rooms aren’t renewed within 60 days after the due date then the key-holder will be charged a $10.00 key replacement fee and the room will be considered abandoned after 90 days.
Limited use
Usage Guidelines
All rooms that have windows are equipped with blinds for privacy. No other window coverings are allowed.
Room occupant MUST NOT TAMPER with any building alarm or sprinkler system installed in the research room.
Patrons should also report any lighting or other maintenance problems to the Circulation Desk as soon as possible.
Patrons are reminded not to leave valuable items in their rooms.
Personal items that establish any form of housekeeping, especially food preparation, are not permitted at any time (including coffee pots, hot plates, refrigerators, and sleeping gear or cots).
Room occupants must follow the same general guidelines pertaining to food and drink which apply to the library in general.
No room access will be permitted when the library is closed. Library Hours
All library materials in a research room must be checked out. Research rooms are checked on a regular basis and any materials not checked out will be removed and returned to the stacks.
Research rooms can be renewed remotely like other library materials.
If a research room is not renewed within 90 days after the due date, it will be considered abandoned and reassigned. If personal items are left in a research room that has been abandoned, they will be removed and held for 1 week in the Library Lost and Found. Articles will then be sent to the Memorial Student Center Lost and Found.

Other Study Spaces (Campus)
Student organizations looking for group rooms
If it is a RECOGNIZED student organization they can call 845-8904 for group rooms. Or, they can go to the second floor of Rudder Tower where the Hospitality and Event Services office is located.
Groups wanting rooms may also go to http://scheduling.tamu.edu/ to find rooms.
The other Evans rooms (204 A and E) are booked through administration.
At the Annex the Media and Reserves Department has one room they will let student organizations reserve - Room 417D. Student organizations can go online to the library home page click on the 'Services' tab in the upper right hand corner click on 'Audio Video Services & Collections' (on the far left side) click on 'Reserve Showing Room" and login with their net ID.
